Critical Chiropractic Social Media Marketing

Last Updated: May 31, 2019

We live in an incredibly busy world today.  You’re trying to treat your patients, run your business, get out into the community, and spend time with your family.  There’s simply not enough time in the day, and now I come along and tell you that you’re missing out of the critical area of chiropractic social media marketing.

The great majority of chiropractors are non-existent in social media, and most are doing nothing to improve their presence.  It’s my job to be aware of the trends that are going to change how we do business in chiropractic marketing, and I believe that social media is going to be a goldmine for the doctors that are first movers.  The doctors that establish their business as a market leader today are going to be so far ahead that it will not be possible to surpass their presence.

A long time ago (or at least a few years ago) we had something called the yellow pages.  Now I understand that this still exists, but the ship is sinking.  Google is the new yellow pages, and in my opinion they do a much better job.  You’re Google rank means everything today.

Why is Google so Important?

About 90% of the people searching online today are using Google.  Studies have shown that when someone does a search for services in their city they typically choose one of the first 6 results that come up.  In fact about 75% of those people choose one of the first two results that come up.  My guess is that you are probably not one of the first two offices that show up when someone searches for “chiropractor your city”.

There is a lot to talk about in this area, but I can tell you that your authority as an author will be the biggest factor as we move into the future.  Google is beginning to judge all of us on the quantity and quality of the information we produce online.  The more respect that they have for you, the more likely your content will be to show up.  This is where social media marketing comes in.

Here’s something to think about.  Let’s say we have two chiropractors competing against each other online.  One has a huge social media following, while the other has done nothing.  I can promise you that the doctor that invested in social media will win that battle every day.   Not only will they generate more new patients because of their social media actions, but Google will see them as the ultimate authority in their area.

I hope this article has been helpful.  Out goal at Inception is to provide the highest quality online service in the chiropractic profession.
