10 Chiropractic Marketing Tips for 2018

chiropractic marketing strategy and tips

Last Updated: May 6, 2019

After looking over all the chiropractic tips offered online I decided to condense the list into some of the most powerful I'm aware of.  I hope this list gives you some ideas that help you take your chiropractic marketing to the next level.

1. Improve Your Chiropractic Website

Far too many chiropractors have websites that under perform. They are simply missing the factors that patients really care about.  Patients don't care about the things we think they care about.  Their concerns are focused around small things like:

  • What Do You Look Like?
  • How Many Good Google or Yelp Reviews Do You Have?
  • Can I Trust You?
  • Do I Like You?

If you can satisfy those simple requirements then you will quickly jump up your success.  It's also critical that your website ranks well, if you want people to find you.

If you would like an evaluation of your website feel free to reach out to me.  I'll spend as much time as you need to go over what you have and how you can improve it.  You might even decide that my team and I are so good at what we do that you want to hire us to help you :).

2. Grow Your Chiropractic Reviews

Very few chiropractors have a review system in place. Patients are using reviews as one of the primary factors in their decision.  If you don't have enough reviews I can assure you that you are losing people the office down the street that does.

A great way to establish this in your office is to have some cards printed up that ask people to review you and that give them a web address to go to.  The cards need to look amazing and you should make a system where on visit X patients are given a card and politely asked to do a review for you.

If you're not sure if your office can get something like that in place then take a look at the program we offer at a very low monthly cost.  It totally automates the review process and it has worked amazingly for our clients here at Inception Websites. Click the link below to check it out.

3. Professional Pictures

Do you have outstanding pictures on your website?  This is such a simple thing, but it's a thing that most chiropractors don't have.  There is no question that patients are using your picture as a major deciding factor of whether you are the right doctor for them.  I know that's a crazy way to make a decision, but that is how most people choose.

All you need to do is find a professional photographer and show them some examples of what other doctors have done.  I always have our clients look at examples of outstanding chiropractic websites we have here at Inception.

4. Social Activity

Most doctors feel that social media is the key to chiropractic marketing. I think that's an overstatement, but social activity is very important to your website rank.  If you can show Google that you are generating a lot of shares and comments on Facebook you're in great shape.

In order to make this happen you have to come up with posts that people can actually engage with.  Posting the latest study on chiropractic benefits doesn't work.  You need to do posts that encourage patients to comment or share.  An example might be sharing a great movie that you love on Facebook and asking patients to comment on their favorite movie.  Start doing things like this and you'll find that Facebook posting can help your practice.

5. Paid Chiropractic Facebook Advertising

Facebook advertising is one of the hottest topics in chiropractic marketing. There is an amazing amount of chatter about this topic, but it's very hard to find an actual chiropractor having steady success in this area.

Most of the people having success today are doing some form of voucher deal offer.  The problem is that you can only approach a city so many times with the same voucher deal offer.  After a handful of runs the system burns out and stops working.  As of October 2017 many of the large US cities are already burnt out.

The long term answer to Facebook Ads is doing testimonial style ads.  Testimonial style ads won't have the burnout that discount deal ads have, but they are much harder to put together.  The average office doesn't have the knowhow to pull this off and it's very expensive for an outside company to do it for you.

If you're looking to boost your chiropractic marketing results with Facebook Ads give us a call and we'll see if it makes sense for you.

6. Google Adwords Advertising

Pay Per Click Advertising

Over the last year Google Adwords has turned the corner. Google made changes to the look of the ads and the flood gates opened.  My top client currently spends about $2600 per month on ads, but he is returning about $40,000 in profits.  You don't have to spend that much on ads, but we have it dialed in really well right now.

If you tried Adwords in the past with no success I would try it again.  Many cities that would have failed in past years are now hitting homeruns.

7. Internal Chiropractic Marketing

One of the most common areas overlooked by chiropractors is internal marketing. In my office I could count on 15 to 20 new patients per month from low cost internal marketing.  My staff did it for me and it worked every month.

Below is a link to one of my most successful internal marketing programs.  If you implement it exactly the way I did it you will see success.  Watch the videos, print up the cards, and I know you will generate more new patients.

8. Email Marketing System

Email marketing can be a great way to reactivate past patients or to stay in touch with current patients. The problem is that most offices take the lazy route.  Instead of spending a few minutes creating something patients would want most chiropractors rely on canned junk from another company.  The patient doesn't like it and it doesn't help the office.

What if you did this instead?  You send out a great new recipe that you found.  I know it's not chiropractic, but it's something that they will appreciate.  You don't need to teach them about health all the time.  Sometimes you just need to do something nice and unexpected for them.  Win their hearts and you will win their loyalty.

9. Get Out of the Office

Far too many chiropractors rely on the internet alone for their chiropractic marketing. The internet is great, but there are many other outside options available.  As more and more offices rely on digital marketing some of the old tried and true marketing events get better and better.  If you can be the only chiropractor out doing some of the traditional events you're success will be exponential.

I give away everything I ever did in practice to generate an average of 80 new patients per month.  My page literally contains every marketing program I did in full detail.  There's no catch or hidden payment I sneak into it.  Below is the link to a page where you can gain access.

10. All in One Marketing Agency

Success with chiropractic marketing can be quite a juggling act. There's a lot to learn and most doctors don't love spending time on it.  For some clinics it might be worthwhile to hire an all in one chiropractic marketing agency.  Here at Inception we cover every aspect of internet marketing and we are a great source of external marketing advice.
